British Masters Athletic Federation are delighted that one of their active members, Zara Hyde-Peters, is now taking over as Chief Executive of UKA, the national governing body of athletics. With less than twelve months before the Olympics in Tokyo, she has a daunting task. UKA receives one of the largest financial grants from the Government, distributed to all Olympic Sports Bodies through UK Sport, to help elite athletes and for development, but is performance-related.

Zara finished 4th in the 1500m final at the 1994 Commonwealth Games, going on to also finish just out of the medals in both the W55 1500m and 5,000m in our Championships in Perth in 2016.
