Thank you to everyone who contacted us. It is obvious that many of you are excited in anticipation of Tampere2022, the World Masters Athletics Championship. We are almost as excited as you.
We thank the Tampere2022 team for all their hard work to plan a world championship in less than half the usual time while overcoming more challenges caused by COVID – quite a task! The entry booklet is done and their website, https://wmatampere2022.com/, is now available. Registration will open soon. Check back to this site for updates!
Some of you have speculated that having the website open later than usual meant the Championship might not happen. Rest assured that Tampere2022 will happen! The organizing team has only been working on it for about a year where teams normally work for years to put on the competition.
On behalf of the Tampere2022 team, WMA, Region and Member representatives, officials and volunteers, we are looking forward to seeing you and making your championship experience exceptional.
