USATF Masters Championships were held over the past weekend.

There were some great challenges over the 400m at the USA Masters Track & Field Nationals being held this weekend in Iowa. The M35 race was won in 49.21 by Tim Moore, Troy Hendrick took the M40 in 55.07sec but 47-year old Calvin James Jr was swifter in 53.65sec just a nose ahead of Mark Williams in 53.78sec. Move on to the M50 Age Group where Khalid Mulazim blazed around in 51.84sec hotly pursued by Edward Winslow Jr in 52.82sec, the Meet record is 51.13sec. A time of 54.85 gave Get Echeandia Jr the M55 title. A sub 60sec clocking, 59.03, saw Jeff Lindsay lift the M60 race. Howard Clark Jr was also under the 60sec mark in the M65 race.

Malaga star, Charlie Allie M70 won his 100m qualifier in 13.17sec.

Another WMA champion in top form is W55 Neringa Jakstiene who equalled the US Masters long jump record reaching out to 4.90m. Neringa set five Age Group World Indoor Records and won six medals at our World Indoor Championships in Torun, Poland last March.
